At user request we have created various spaces for Plextor devices here at NAS-Central. Currently the following services are available right now for Plextor users:

• A dedicated Plextor forum area at our forum – this will be split into sub-forums as it becomes popular
• A wiki for documenting information about these devices at plextor.nas-central.org
• A downloads area at downloads.plextor.nas-central.org

Any help you can give documenting information, providing modifications or helping out in the forum is greatly appreciated!

Again, at your request we recently restored the content of the old main portal (what used to be www.nas-central.org) to a new sub-domain – general.nas-central.org. In the process we removed some content that is duplicated elsewhere and a bit of spam! This area will be useful for documenting any non-manufacturer specific information that you may have, as well as being able to refer to the content that is already there.

At your request we have created a new forum area for Sitecom NAS device users to discuss issues and modifications in our forum – if this proves popular and/or people are willing to use one, we are happy to add a wiki for Sitecom devices too!

We updated a few bits this week:

• New shiny icons for the Buffalo and General forums
• Added a new forum for the Zyxel NSA-210
• Upgraded this blog and plugins
• Added icons for the Zyxel and Lacie sub-forums
• New sub-forum for kernel dev on Kirkwood based Buffalo NAS

Today we added a new forum at the NAS-Central Buffalo Forums for Kirkwood based devices such as the LS-CHL V2 and the LS-XHL. Also there is a new sub-forum for the MV78100 based Terastation III.

We have moved some posts into these new areas to keep things tidy!

To allow for a more centralised and simple method of reporting news to the NAS-Central wikis we have made some changes to the news system for the wiki front pages:

• News from all wikis moved to blog and categorised
• We made a custom RSS feed merger that runs hourly to build the news feed
• Wiki feeds each contain NAS-Central, NAS Community News the and manufacturer specific category for that wiki
• We wrote a MediaWiki plugin that works the way we want it to to display it!
